How We Deliver Simultaneous Interpretation, Start to Finish

Delivering reliable simultaneous interpretation requires detailed preparation, professional equipment, and experienced technicians. Here's our structured workflow.

1

Consultation & Technical Assessment

We start by understanding your attendance, required languages, venue layout, format, and schedule, so we can recommend a solution that matches your event's objectives.

2

System Design & Planning

We design your interpretation system — language channels, booth positioning, receiver quantities, audio routing, and backup planning — before anything is built.

3

Equipment Preparation

We prepare and test every console, microphone, receiver, headset, transmitter, and spare component in advance to minimize the risk of issues on-site.

4

Installation & System Configuration

Once on-site, we install booths, consoles, and transmitters, and manage cabling and power distribution to keep the production environment clean and organized.

5

System Testing & Technical Rehearsals

Before delegates arrive, we test every microphone, channel, headset, and signal path, and rehearse with interpreters whenever they're available beforehand.

6

Live Event Operation

Our crew continuously monitors audio, language channels, batteries, and equipment throughout the event, responding quickly to any changing needs.

7

Equipment Collection & Removal

After the event, we coordinate receiver and headset collection, booth dismantling, cable removal, and venue restoration, with a full equipment inspection.

8

Post-Event Review

We review equipment performance and feedback with you afterward, carrying lessons learned into future multilingual events.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about simultaneous interpretation for your event.

How many languages can you support at one event?

Our systems are built around language channels, so the number of languages depends on your console and receiver configuration rather than a fixed limit. Tell us how many languages you need during the consultation and we'll design the channel setup around it.

Do you provide interpreters, or just the equipment?

Our focus is the technical side — booths, consoles, receivers, headsets, and on-site support. If you need help sourcing professional interpreters, let us know and we can discuss what's involved so the technical and language sides are coordinated.

What's the difference between booth interpretation and a portable system?

Booth-based simultaneous interpretation uses an isolated booth so interpreters can work without picking up room noise, and is typical for conferences and large audiences. Portable (walking) systems are more common for tours or smaller groups moving through a space. We can help you decide which fits your event format.

How far in advance should we book?

Earlier is better, especially for multi-language events, larger receiver counts, or busy conference seasons — it gives us more time for planning, equipment prep, and coordinating booth placement with your venue. Reach out as soon as you have a date and rough attendee count.

Can interpretation equipment work alongside our existing AV setup?

Yes. Our technicians route interpretation audio alongside your conference microphones, mixers, streaming, and recording systems so the interpretation layer doesn't interfere with your main event production.

Do you support hybrid or virtual events?

If your event includes a remote or streamed component, tell us during planning — we'll factor that into the audio routing and system design alongside the in-room interpretation setup.

What information do you need from us to provide a quote?

Generally: event date, venue, expected attendance, number of languages required, and event format. The more of that you can share upfront, the more accurate the quote.
